About Us
We are a family owned and operated business based out of Chicago, IL serving the Chicagoland area and surrounding suburbs.
We began our journey in the construction industry in 2015, while attending college (Proud DePaul and UIC alums). We owned and operated a general construction company for five years and realized that we had a high demand for kitchen cabinet painting. After realizing our newly found passion, we decided to start The Chicago Cabinet Painting Co.
Although it is a new business entity, we come with many years of experience and have brought back to life countless kitchens in the Chicagoland area. We always prioritize quality over time and are a detail-oriented team, which has lead us to have many satisfied customers and several positive reviews.
We are excited for the work ahead and cannot wait to meet many of you!

Our Process
Cabinet Painting
Our process has an average turnover of about 5 business days. We will only be at the project site for 2 of the days with the following schedule:
Day 1
Remove and label all doors/drawers to be loaded into our vehicle and transported to our shop to be prepped and painted.
Remove and label all hinges
Degrease, degloss and prepare frames for primer and paint
Mask entire kitchen area - this includes all appliances, countertops, walls and ceilings.
Keep in mind you will not have access to your kitchen appliances for the duration of 1st and 2nd workdays.
Day 2
Apply shellac primer, once dry a scuff sand will be performed.
Apply paint with airless-assisted sprayer, leaving a smooth factory-like finish on your cabinetry.
Once paint is dry all masking will be removed.
At the end of Day 2, you will have full access to your kitchen and can return to normal use.
Installation Day (about 10 business days later)
Doors will be returned and re-installed in their appropriate position with their appropriate hinges
Hardware, if any, will be installed without compromising the finish on your doors
What’s Included
Cabinet doors
Included in our estimates are all cabinet doors and drawers sprayed through the process mentioned above. All doors will be removed, labeled, and reinstalled along with their appropriate hinges.
Cabinet Frames
All cabinet frames are spray painted with airless-assisted sprayers using the process mentioned above. This will not include interiors of cabinets. Please refer to the photos below for more detail. Notice the 2 different woods, the darker wood is what would receive primer and paint. This has been the choice of 95% of our clientele and proves to provide a consistent and finished look.
Cabinet Hardware Replacement
Existing hardware will be safely removed and stored away for replacement upon returning of doors. However, should the client prefer the hardware be replaced with new pieces, the client would be responsible for providing new hardware that match the existing holes, and the team at The Chicago Cabinet Painting Co. will ensure it is installed properly, without compromising the finish on the doors.
Should the client decide to obtain hardware that requires: existing hardware holes on doors to be filled or holes to be added due to new sizing or new style, a fee of $5 per hole covered and $4 per hole drilled will be added to the final price.
Special Requests
2-Tone kitchen cabinets
This is a very popular style at the moment, and we are big fans! However, keep in mind this will add to the total cost of your cabinet painting service. This is due to more materials and labor hours being used, e.g. extra gallon of paint, extra gallon of tinted primer and labor hours:
All equipment needs to be thoroughly cleaned and prepped between every coat of paint in order to not compromise finish on doors, which add several hours of labor to the project. Again, we are big fans of this look and would not ask you to shy away from inquiring on this request! We would be glad to provide you with an estimate for both a single color and a 2-tone kitchen, in order for you to make the decision that best fits your needs.
Painting interior of cabinets
Painting interior of cabinets is a labor-intensive task and requires an entire extra day of preparation. The interiors/frames will be sprayed and the entire kitchen will have to be covered with paint-proof paper. This will add to the final cost of the project. If the interior is to be painted due to a glass door, we always account for this and a special request will not be required - this will be included in the initial estimate.
